"Maria Desrosiers does an excellent job keeping the reader
hooked as the tension builds. Not only is the story filled with
the romance between Phoenix and Dragon, but Desrosiers throws in
action-packed fight scenes on the pirate ships, hidden
inheritance, and a little mystery!—Edee Wilcox Saved Times

"I can not say enough good about this story filled with
action, intrigue, and suspense. Each character has secrets,
desires and flaws that leave you breathless. The plot twists and
turns. As soon as you think you have it all figured out… you
don’t. I look forward to many more books from Maria Desrosiers.

"Maria Desrosiers The Phoenix is a story of romance, passion
and deception set in 1789 and followes Lady Aveline DeLarue and
Duke of Wintersong, Justin Montegry, both of London.
Lady Aveline, or Ava, and Justin enter into a marriage of
convenience. Ava at her brothers insistance and Justin because
it is a stipulation in his inheritance. They neither love or
even like each other but both have their own reasons for
accepting a loveless marriage. Though the two enter into a
marriage they are strangers to each other and neither is quite
who they appear to be.
Maria Desrosier's descriptive prose are very detailed and her
characters are three dimensional. The story moves along nicely
as they develop and their motives become clear and understood.
The dialogue is witty and sharp.
